the major purpose of this PR is to update modules to their recent **minor version**.
this is helpful in terms of having update functionalities and fixing some issues caused by non-up-to-date modules.

mod tidy and higher version of Go
...
as Go, is moving towards v1.15 and higher we may
consider starting to compile our application with go1.14 and higher
as go1.14 promises a lot more than g01.12 with a lot of fixes!
